Collections - Table View: multi-value lables do not display as columns

howdy. maybe im misunderstanding something but when creating a column in the table view, it only allows the creation of single value promoted attributes.

Also If I then edit a single value label to be a multi (#label:myLabel:displayName=promoted,multi,text) the column disappears.

You're not misunderstanding—Trilium's Table View only supports single-value promoted attributes as columns. When you change a label to multi-value, the column disappears because the implementation intentionally skips attributes with multiplicity other than "single" and doesn't display them in the table view. This is confirmed by both the code and maintainers; there's currently no built-in way to show or concatenate multi-value attributes in collection tables see discussion.

If you need multi-value columns, there's a plugin that supports concatenated multi-value attributes in collection views: trilium-collection-views. Until native support is added, this plugin is the best workaround.

@dosu thank you. is there a roadmap for trilium?

There isn't an official, up-to-date public roadmap for Trilium or TriliumNext. Historically, Trilium went into maintenance mode, with new features planned for TriliumNext instead. However, as of August 2025, Trilium is showing active development again, but most documentation still references the previous maintenance status and points to TriliumNext for new features. Development priorities and future plans are mainly discussed through GitHub issues, discussions, and release notes rather than a formal roadmap document. If you want to follow ongoing development or see what's coming, it's best to watch the main repository and check the release notes for updates reference.
