Description
The website development team is creating a series of mid-fi and high-fi designs in Figma https://www.figma.com/. The website drafts are refined through feedback from the Education subgroup. The team researched, tested and selected Astro Javascript web framework https://astro.build/ for a lightweight, markdown-based build that aligns with https://ucospo.net/ site navigation and meets WCAG 2.1 AA standards. The site functionality and layout will include filtering by role, topic, and learning goals, and will later integrate the Pathways lesson framework.
The team is preparing a high-fidelity design to handoff to newly hired (student) website developers to work on integrating the site design and the Astro repository. The first version will draw from the lesson inventory spreadsheet and use a shared vocabulary for topics, audiences, and roles.
