Using tippyjs for a popup dictionary

Hi! I'm a chinese teacher trying to build a website. I'm trying to use tippyjs to create a popup dictionary, but I'm having some difficulties. For example, I have the following:

• Character A, showing tooltip "I";
• Character B, showing tooltip "possessive particle";
• Word AB, a combination of the two characters, which should show only the word meaning "my". But, when I hover the word AB, it shows two tooltips: "my" plus "I" or "possessive particle", depending on which character the cursor is on. Is it possible to make only the tooltip "my" to appear? Thanks!!
