This warning is a bit annoying, but not critical.

We definitely want to keep syz-executor builds static, so the realistic fix would be to use another libc implementation, but this complication still doesn't seem to be worth the effort.

Another option would be to try to get rid of gethostbyname completely and only use IP addresses.

but this warning is interpreted as error and stops the building process.

From the attached output, it definitely looks like just a warning which does not abort the build (e.g. I also keep on seeing the same message, but nevertheless syzkaller builds fine).

Otherwise it would output something like error: ... and cc1plus: all warnings being treated as errors.
