is there a way to diagnose pc problems over the network

hi, is there a way to diagnose pc problems over the network. i get that it is not the objective of hardinfo. motivation is to tell remote user to connect with just a working network and bios.

With just the BIOS (UEFI) running? I doubt it.
I know that UEFI or some UEFI allow updating itself (BIOS flashing) via a network connection. UEFI itself is a kind of OS but it is very limited.

I don't know what you want to diagnose exactly, but if the computer doesn't even has an OS installed, then you should check it in person, not remotely, but in case the person you want to help can't by themselves, they could use an USB with a linux distro and boot from there, then use hardinfo from that flashed usb and diagnose a problem from there, but still, this would be completely useless if you can't modify the computer's hardware or the person you wanna help doesn't know how to.

But if you want to test that PC's network, remember that, on linux, you can use ping [address] to check the computer's conection or traceroute [address] to check the network itself.
