Motivation: The Need to Capture Email-Based OOB Interactions
The Dusseldorf tool is an excellent solution for capturing out-of-band (OOB) interactions over HTTP and DNS. However, it currently lacks support for the SMTP protocol. This means that any email-based interactions, such as mail triggers or emails sent to a listener domain, are completely lost. This is a significant limitation for security testing scenarios that involve email vectors.
Proposed Solution: An Integrated SMTP Listener
I would like to request the addition of SMTP protocol support to Dusseldorf. This would enable the tool to act as an SMTP listener, capturing any incoming emails sent to the configured domain and its subdomains. This would allow security professionals to effectively test for vulnerabilities that trigger email-based OOB interactions.
