How does wingetbot autoupdater work?

For a while, I see wingetbot automatically updates the manifest of that package when a new version releases, how does the wingetbot detect these? Does it keep downloading the installer url for hash mismatch? And why does it seems like only updates some packages? What's the condition of the package to be eligible for autoupdate by wingetbot? Just curious.

This happens when a package has a Vanity URL - effectively a URL that always points to the latest version. wingetbot is just checking for a hash mismatch, when this happens, Wingetbot will submit an update.

How do we know if Wingetbot has the vanity URL or if it is working? I've noticed the Rustdesk packages stopped auto updating after v1.4.0. There was a manual fix for 1.4.1, but auto update didn't resume. https://github.com/rustdesk/rustdesk/releases/latest seems to work, but is that what Wingetbot is looking?

Most IObit packages are also have vanity URLs, and they also stop auto updating. I noticed this happened after pipelines paused for fonts packages, so I would assume there are some changes on wingetbot's logic that decides which package are eligible for autoupdater, just a guess though
