[6.x] Space for translations in selects (e.g. conditions-tab in Blueprint editor)

This is a follow up of the already merged #13076. I am not sure whether you want to leave it as it is or whether there is still room for improvement or even already on your list. Feel free to close it…

If not, here's the issue: In the conditions tab of the blueprint editor you can build your conditions from a few selects. The width of the select fields is mostly optimized for English. If the translation requires a little more space, it becomes more difficult to understand what is meant, because it truncates. You must first open the selection to be able to read all the options to the end.

That was easier to read in V5.

Here is how this looks in English, in German and compared to V5 for two variants:

It's definitely not ideal that select widths are hardcoded to specific translations, English or not. There must be some way of auto-sizing selects and comboboxes on their current content if it worked in v5?
